Obama with the last word…

He spoke last – coming out after a fun dance song that had most people up and moving – he was outstanding and relevant.

one of the excellent stories he shared was that he and Gov. Ted Strickland stopped into a diner the other day wanting a snack.  They decided to get a piece of pie (it was very funny how he said the word “pie” – an inherently entertaining word).  He got coconut cream pie and strickland got lemon merengue pie.  the staff took a picture with them – highlighting that they’d use it to rub in against their boss, the diner owner, who was a republican.  When the pie was ready, the owner himself brought it out.  When the owner shared that he’s a republican, Obama asked “How’s business.”  The owner said “not so good”.  Obama said “you can only bang your head against the wall but so long before you get a head ache and need to stop.”

My favorite moment was when Obama:

Reminded us of FDR’s quote – there’s nothing to fear but fear itself – and then followed on by stating that “our destiny is not written for us, it’s written by us”  (seems to be part of his new stump speech)

Relaxed, forceful, engaged and - above all else - Presidential
