After the conference, Eric and I went with State Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles and her husband Alex Welles on a tour of the Obama Headquarters. To say we were excited and impressed is a complete understatement. It reminded Eric and I of the early days at Microsoft when we were shipping products. At 7pm on a Saturday night, there were a sizable number of people still there working hard (comparable to being in launch mode – only this time, they’re launching the future of the free world – OY!). A highlight was that we got to meet David Axelrod and chat with him for a couple of minutes. What a real, down to earth, bear of a man!
We also met folks in the ethnic group areas as well as folks doing new media (including the man who did the iphone app).
Mike French led us on the tour – the person with whom I worked very closely throughout the caucuses to get turnout.
